Product Description
Decanter centrifuge is a mechanical equipment which utilize the principle of centrifugal and sedimentation and can carry out continual separate the suspend liquid with density difference.
The centrifuges which made by out factory can clarify, dehydrate and classify the suspensions with 0.002-3 mm solid-phase particles and thickness range at 0.5~40%.
The product can be classify into two type LW-counter-current and parallel-current base on its structure feature. According to feed feature, product can be divide into LW two-phase separator, LWS three-phase separator.
It is suitable for separating different feed under different process condition, and widely use in pharmaceutical, food, chemical, light industry, environmental protection industry etc.
Operating principle:
The purpose of separation is to separate out substances with different mass ratios from mixed fluid.Separation forms included solid-liquid separation,liquid-liquid separation and liquid-liquid-solid separation.
When mixed fluid enters rotating bowl of centrifuge through feed tube ,solids with larger density would rapidly deposit on inner wall of the bowl, forced by centrifugal acceleration. Then spiral pusher pushed deposited solids to taper end of the bowl, and discharges them out of centrifuge from residual outlet.Meanwhile ,liquid phase with smaller density forms a liquid ring layer and discharges from bowl through overflow port, the bowl and spiral pusher run at a high speed simultaneously ,for there exists speed discrepancy, deposited solids on the wall of bowl could be conveyed to residue outlet by spiral pusher. This separation process carry out continuously.
Separation technique
Feeding-gravitational separation-liquid discharge-sediment discharge.
Separation effect factors Centrifuging factor ,length to diameter ratio of cavity ,depth of fluid pool.

The Ingenious Working Principle of Decanter Centrifuges
A decanter centrifuge thrives on the principle of buoyant separation. Within a mixture, a denser component naturally sinks, while a less dense one rises. In a decanter centrifuge, continuous spinning magnifies settling speed, generating extreme g-forces ranging from 1000 to 4000 G's. This innovation reduces settling times drastically, transforming hours-long processes into mere seconds, delivering fast and manageable separation results.
Imagine a decanter as a cylindrical sedimentation tank rotating around an axis. In this setup, denser solid particles gravitate to the bottom, forming a solid phase sediment. In a centrifuge, however, centrifugal acceleration takes the lead. Denser particles are propelled outward in the rotating bowl, forming a sediment along the inner wall. The rapid application of centrifugal forces, approximately 3000 g, ensures separation occurs exponentially faster than in a gravitational field.

What is Decanter centrifuge?
- A decanter centrifuge is a type of centrifuge that is used to separate solids from liquids in a mixture. It is a continuous process that uses centrifugal force to separate the two components.
- The mixture is fed into the centrifuge, and the solids are separated from the liquids by the centrifugal force generated by the spinning of the centrifuge.
- The separated solids and liquids are then discharged from the centrifuge through separate outlets.
- Decanter centrifuges are used in a wide range of industries, including chemical, pharmaceutical, food processing, and environmental engineering.
- They are particularly useful for separating solids that are too fine or too dense to be effectively separated by other methods, such as sedimentation or filtration.
- Decanter centrifuges are also used to dewater sludge and to separate emulsions.
- They are known for their high efficiency, low maintenance requirements, and ability to handle large volumes of material.
